Τα The Game Awards 2023 πραγματοποιήθηκαν στο Peacock Theater στο Λος Άντζελες και βραβεύτηκαν δεκάδες παιχνίδια και προσωπικότητες του χώρου. Μεγάλος νικητής το Baldur’s Gate 3 που στέφθηκε παιχνίδι της χρονιάς.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της βραδιάς έγιναν πολλές ανακοινώσεις για πράγματα που έρχονται, όπως μερικά δωρεάν DLC για το God of War, ένα νέο παιχνίδι Monster Hunter, εκπλήξεις του BG3 στο Xbox και το The Finals, ένα φιλόδοξο project από το στούντιο No Man’s Sky Hello Games και πολλά πολλά τρέιλερ. Ο Hideo Kojima παρουσίασε, μάλιστα, το νέο του παιχνίδι, ένα μυστηριώδες horror για το Xbox, το OD.
